The bidding war
It was a really busy Sunday night for me. I was window shopping online when I saw this irresistable toy in Ebay. The starting bid was low so I placed my bid and nonchantly continued surfing the net.
I checked out the Cloud B's Twilight Turtle specs in Google and I was truly amazed with its features. Even if it's in preloved state, I still consider the deal a steal. The brand new would cost around Php2,650 in Multiply and I only initially made a bid of Php409.00.
As the night progresses, somebody placed a bid and I later found myself fighting for this piece of toy for hours... For the three longest hours of my life, I was constantly reloading my Ebay page, on constant vigilance...
The bid ended at Php555.00 and of course, I won the the item!!! I've never been so ecstatic in my life!!! =)
I wanna share with you guys its features so you'd know why I was determine to get the Twilight Turtle by inch or by crook. Hehehe.

On a rainy thursday...
Woke up rather early from a very haunting nightmare I chose to forget. Sat on the porch with Yab while he drank his milk away... He immediately sensed I woke up on the wrong side of the bed... Familiarity breeds contempt indeed.
I started the morning with a scrambled egg for breakfast and chose to flick the tv on. Ellen was on, celebrating her 900th episode. I randomly opened my multiply, yahoo and ebay account for updates...
After a few laughs from the show, my eyes began to droop. Guess my body's not up for such an early rise. I take a look at the clock and it said 9am. I still have at least an hour to take a nap before Yab comes over to take me to my OB appointment.
When I opened my eyes again, my clock said 11am and quickly shot out from bed and accidentally bumped my toes to the door. God that hurt! I barely made it out to the living room when Yab came in and was totally surprised to see me still undressed. I got at least 15mins to get ready or I'll my miss my OB appointment.
A quick shower and voila! I was done... I had to settle with a damp hair, eyeliner-less lids and hurriedly done make-up.
We made it to the appointment on time and to our discovery, we realized we didn't have to wait for long for my name to be called next. Being in the nick of time surely have its perks. No long wait in the reception area. ;)
Right after lunch, I had to go back to Yab's office for the whole afternoon. I had to stay away from home til night time to give way to the disinfectation of our house.
I finally saw Pogi in his bald state and was glad to find out that his skin rashes are getting better. Can't wait for him to get home soon. Too bad, I'm not allowed to touch or play with him... I really miss the guy....
Just as I was getting bored in a confined space, I decided to ramble away in my blog.
Yeah, I'm really that bored.... really that bad on a rainy thursday.

Diego Thomas' first smile
Among baby Diego's 4d pics, this is the most priceless photo I have. Throughout the procedure, he refused to give us a full view of his face so we had to go back in the afternoon to have it redone.
The attempt was futile but nonetheless, he gave us one smile that took our breath away. =)
72 more days to go before the big day!!! ;)

MY NEW FREE PHONE FROM GLOBE
At last!!! After two years of "loyalty" and sky-rocket high bills (hehehe), I got my new free phone from Globe. =)
I was expecting to receive this on Mon (Dec. 8) yet but to my surprise, it arrived today!!! Yipee!
This phone totally exceeded my expectation. The sleek metallic look gives this phone a classy feel. Very lightweight and truly unique. I've given up Nokia phones a long time ago. I find Nokia handsets very common-looking and people would immediately know how much your phone costs with just one look. =(
This one's already 3G capable with 2MP camera... there's truly nothing I could ask for more.
This one's one hell of a freebie!!!! ;)

A heart-breaking day... =(
How can I begin to explain on how I really feel today?
Pogi has been having this skin disease for the longest time. I thought it would just go away but it only got worse.
We don't have any choice but to have them checked with a vet and have him quarantined at Yab's fabrication shop. =(
I'm gonna miss my Pogi badly....
Finally!!!!
After two years of failed attempts, I finally scored myself the most sought after Starbucks 2009 Planner. =)
I don't really find it as gorgeous as the previous planners. This edition's much more plain but nonetheless, such an achievement for my part. Hehe.
We're going for the second attempt, para kay Yab naman. He wants the black one for himself. Goodluck to us! ;)

Disease
I am truly convinced that I have a disease. Symptoms: Paranoia, self-doubt, low self-esteem and self pity. Cause: A pattern of betrayal from people whom I deeply cared about. Cure: I'm still working on it.
I've been betrayed by different folk with different strokes. Some of which have deeply scarred my sense of being and some I have grown to forgive. Nonetheless, it has molded me into a distrustful human being. Tragic, isn't it?

My all time favorite TV series!!!
Hiro: "Save the cheerleader, save the world!"
Dr. House: " Do I get bonus points if I act like I care?"
Dr. House: : "Knowing is always better than not knowing."
Dr. House: "You do realize that the point of metaphors is to scare people from doing things by telling them that something much scarier is going to happen, than what will really happen? God, I wish I had a metaphor to explain that better."
Dr. House: "You talk to God, you're religious. God talks to you, you're psychotic."
Dr. House: " Idiots are fun. No wonder every village wants one."
* Christina: "You know, I know a liar when I see one because I am a liar."
* Meredith: "Maybe we like pain. Maybe we're wired that way. Because without it, I don't know; maybe we wouldn't just feel real. What's that saying? Why do I keep hitting myself with a hammer? Because it feels good when I stop."
* Meredith: "Communication. It's the first thing we really learn in life. Funny thing is, once we grow up, learn our words and really start talking, the harder it becomes to know what to say. Or how to ask for what we really need."
* Meredith: "Pain, you just have to ride it out, hope it goes away on its own, hope the wound that caused it heals. There are no solutions, no easy answers, you just breath deep and wait for it to subside. Most of the time pain can be managed but sometimes the pain gets you where you least expect it. Hits way below the belt and doesn't let up. Pain, you just have to fight through, because truth is you can't outrun it and life always makes more."
* Gabrielle: "The way I see it is that good friends support each other after something bad has happened, great friends act as if nothing has happened."
* Bree: " This is the way I see it, good friends offer to help in a crisis, great friends don't take no for an answer."
* Carrie: "After a breakup, certain streets, locations, even times of day are off-limits. The city becomes a deserted battlefield, loaded with emotional landmines. You have to be very careful where you step or you could be blown to pieces."
Carrie rules!!!
Well, it's about time!!! I was able to score a dvd for this movie since I wasn't able to catch in the movie theatre. =( Yab just find it to "girly" for his taste so I just have to wait for the dvd release for this movie.
I actually haven't seen the movie yet, I'm planning to when Yab leaves for Cebu this Tue. I'll have my hands full then with "Sex and the City" movie and "Desperate Housewives Season 4" dvd marathon. Harhar!

How do I go about this? =)
Yeah, I admit. It has been a long time since I've seriously considered making a journal, moreso, make it public. Back in my college days, I religiously kept everything in one little book until one person callously violated my privacy and read its contents, demanding explanations for things I've done in the past. Well, that was unfair, wasn't it?
Well, I confess to have made that grave mistake, too... right after I found he (a different person this time) cheated on me and during that time, I just had the urged to read his little black book, just in case he missed filling me in with the details with his affair. But that's older than history now. I've got a much different life then what I had and what's important, they are all out of my life now. Now, that's something to smile about.
Well, no promises here. Believe me, when your life's pretty predictable day by day, having a journal can get pretty old. ;)
